Jason Melendez Featured as the University of Delaware New Blue Hen of the Day

Jason Melendez was chosen as the "NSO New Blue Hen of the Day" during New Student Orientation (NSO) at the University of Delaware.

All students attending NSO are automatically entered to be chosen as the NSO New Blue Hen of the Day when they like the Blue Hen Says Facebook page. Melendez received a prize and was featured on the page.

This fall, Melendez will accomplish his goal of becoming a full-time student at UD. After serving six years with the Air Force, Melendez will study energy and environmental policy while also playing club ice hockey. “I have always loved spending time in Newark,” Melendez said. “Everyone is always so friendly and helpful here. I loved my experience with the Air Force, but I’m so excited to finally come to UD.”

New students will be featured on the Blue Hen Says Facebook page every day of NSO, which runs through July 18.
